Indigestion is a condition where you feel discomfort in your upper abdomen. This disorder is also called as dyspepsia or upset stomach. The disorder of indigestion can bring different symptom to different person. Unpleasant feeling of this disorder can be felt occasionally or even daily. Although it is closely related with what happen inside our stomach, but indigestion could be a symptom of any other disease.

Indigestion have many symptoms. The most common symptom of indigestion is pain or discomfort feeling in your upper abdomen. The pain usually not so severe. This symptom of pain or discomfort usually being experienced after having meal or drinking. Another symptom of indigestion are belching, bloating, reflux, nausea, and vomiting.

CAUSES
Indigestion is a very common disorder. It is not a serious or life threatening condition. However, if you experience very frequent indigestion or indigestion come along with other condition, then you must be cautious about this. Another condition that you should pay attention if come with indigestion are bleeding, weight loss, and difficulty of swallowing. There are many things that can cause or trigger indigestion, which are alcohol consumption, eating too much spicy or greasy food, too much eating, eating too fast, stress or depression, smoking habit. Other serious things that can cause indigestion including gallstones, gastritis, pancreatitis, and stomach ulcers.

Acupuncture Treatment For Indigestion
Indigestion is one of many disorder related with stomach. In dealing with this kind of disorder, there is one acupoint that is very effective to relieve many abdominal or stomach disorder. The acupoint is called Abdominal Sorrow Point. This acupoint is located at the junction of the 9th cartilage to the 8th rib in line with our earlobe. This acupoint is called SP16 point.
