Hypertension usually bring little to no symptoms. Many people not realised that they have this disorder even when the blood pressure already gone really high. Symptoms of blood pressure will be different among people. People who have hypertension disorder may headaches, shortness of breath or nosebleeds.

CAUSES

 


There are many things that can cause hypertension. There are cause of hypertension that can be reverse and there are cause of hypertension that considered irreversible. The cause of hypertension are excessive alcohol consumption, oral contraceptives, hormone therapy, kidney disease, obesity, sleep apnea, smoking habit, diabetes, being pregnant, and certain cancer.

Acupuncture Treatment For Hypertension

Acupuncture seems to be an effective treatment for hypertension disorder, especially for people who could not bear the side effects of the hypertension medicine. The treatment for the hypertension disorder would consist of 60 treatments for 12 weeks. Each treatment would take around 30 minutes. The acupoints chosen for this treatment are LI4, LI11, ST36 and ST9. Stimulation for these acupoints was done by manual stimulation. Additional acupoints of CV4, CV6 and SP6 were also treated to obtain the objective of removing side effects of drugs.
