CAUSES

Myopia happens because the eyeball is too long or the cornea is too curved. Because of this condition, the incoming light to the eye can not be focused correctly, so that distant object can not be seen clearly. The exact cause of myopia is unknown, but it is believed to be an inherited condition. However, people without the inherited factors can also develop myopia if they read, work at a computer, or watching TV.
