Gallbladder is a human organ that is located in our abdomen. It is underneath our liver. The gallbladder has responsibility to store the bile produced by our liver. Bile is useful to digest fats in our small intestine. Therefore the term gallbladder disease is relating with any disease that happen to our gallbladder. Gallbladder disease is usually happen because of an inflammation. This is inflammation is happen due to an irritation to gallbladder wall. Other disease that may happen to our gallbladder is gallbladder polyps and gallbladder cancer.

SYMPTOMS


One of the disease that might happen to our gallbladder is gallstone. The symptom of gallstone is pain. However, unfortunately, gallstone is unlikely to cause pain. The most common symptom of gallbladder disease is intermittent pain called biliary colic. Pain will be occur at the right portion of our abdomen. Other symptom that might happen because of gallbladder disease are nausea and vomiting. Belching, feeling unusually full after meals, bloating, heartburn are not likely to be caused by gallbladder disease.

CAUSES


Gallstone that is one of many disease that can happen to our gallbladder is caused by crystallization and hardening process of bile in the gallbladder. Other disease like gallbladder cancer usually caused by DNA change of the gallbladder. This DNA change is sometimes trigger by bad lifestyle such as smoking. Other thing that can cause gallbladder cancer is genetic factor.

Acupuncture Treatment For Gallbladder Disease

In acupuncture theory point of view, gallbladder is considered to belong to the wood element. If there is a disorder of the gallbladder, then it is believed that the patient wood element is imbalanced. The wood imbalanced will produced symptom like rancid odor, greenish eyes, and excess of anger. In treating this wood imbalance, the acupuncture will treat not only the gallbladder, but also will treat the liver as well. Acupoints used for the treatment of gallbladder disease are GB37, GB38, GB39, GB40, and GB41.
