Acupuncture Treatment For Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common disorder and although only suggested for short term neck pain, acupuncture seems to be an effective treatment.  Acupuncture is also regarded as a superior  treatment to sham treatment. Acupuncture can be more effective if it is combined with another therapy such as massage.  Acupuncture works in reducing pain through the stimulation of nerve that is located in muscles or any other tissues. This stimulation in turn will make the body release endorphins ( hormones). Acupuncture also reduces inflammation and stiffness of the muscles and joints.
