CV15 is point 15 of the Conception Vessel Meridian in traditional Chinese medicine. Lingshu suggests that this point is especially potent, may cause death and should only be needled by experienced acupuncturists1.
The original Chinese name for CV15 is 鳩尾 (jiū wěi), which translates as ‘Turtledove Tail’ and the Korean name is 구미 (gu mi).
CV15 is located ‘on anterior midline 1 cun below xiphoid process, locate point with patient supine with arms raised.’2
