NAME

The original Chinese name for CV17 is 膻中 (shān zhōng), which translates as ‘Chest Centre’ and the Korean name is 단중 (dan jung).
 

LOCATION

CV17 Conception Vessel Meridian Acupuncture Point - Dermal / Skin level.CV17 Conception Vessel Meridian Acupuncture Point - Muscular / Muscle level.CV17 Conception Vessel Meridian Acupuncture Point - Skeletal / Skeleton level.
 
CV17 is located ‘on anterior midline at level with 4th intercostal space, midway between nipples.’1
